Zhanna’s journey into the world of jewelry began after years of relentless hard work and dedication. Reflecting on her life, she says, “I worked very hard my whole life, and after achieving success, I finally reached a point where I could breathe and start enjoying life.” This pivotal moment occurred three years ago when she moved to Dubai and stayed at the Versace Hotel. It was here that she fell in love with the brand and their exquisite jewelry. To celebrate her birthday, she treated herself to her first full diamond set—earrings, necklace, bracelet, and ring. This moment marked the beginning of her passion for jewelry collecting.
Inspired by the glamorous women she saw at the Cannes Film Festival, Zhanna decided to share her love for jewelry on social media. “I saw so many beautiful women adorned in diamonds, and it inspired me to share my story and empower women to turn their tears into diamonds,” she explains. For Zhanna, this means sharing how she transformed her challenges into something beautiful, inspiring others to do the same.
Balancing her life between Dubai, Monaco, and her roots in New Zealand, Zhanna has found a unique rhythm. “It’s New Zealand at night and Dubai during the day—thanks to the time difference! I run my business in New Zealand, so I work a lot while also enjoying life’s luxuries. Dubai offers the best in luxury living and top-notch service, making it perfect for maximum enjoyment,” she shares with a laugh.
Among her cherished pieces, one stands out with a deeply personal story. After facing a significant personal challenge, Zhanna found solace and strength in creating and discovering herself anew. “I started turning my tears into diamonds. I believe all women have the power to do this and achieve their dreams. Each challenge in life helps us grow, and women are extraordinary in their resilience and strength,” she reflects.
For Zhanna, jewelry is much more than adornment; it’s a form of self-expression and empowerment. “Jewelry, like fashion and art, requires a personal connection. When you wear it, you enhance the jewelry, not the other way around. That’s the magic! Jewelry allows you to express your style and personality. It’s about how your beauty enhances the jewelry, making it uniquely yours,” she explains passionately.
Despite the many challenges she has faced, Zhanna humorously admits, “Not having enough money to buy everything I want, is the biggest challenge in the jewelry industry!” Yet, her perspective on jewelry and fashion has evolved over time. “When I was younger, I focused on trends and popular brands. Now, I choose fashion and jewelry that enhance me. I buy what I love, as it’s about me wearing the jewelry, not the other way around,” she says.
To those looking to start their own jewelry collection or pursue their passion, Zhanna offers heartfelt advice: “Don’t follow trends—find pieces that make you feel powerful and enhance your persona. Jewelry can transform tears into diamonds. You need to fall in love with a piece, much like a relationship.”
When it comes to choosing brands and pieces for her collection, Zhanna’s approach is deeply personal. “I don’t focus on brands; I think about whether I can have a relationship with the piece of art. Like choosing a partner, it’s important to choose carefully,” she notes.
